Action begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with hundreds of the nation's top amateur multisport athletes scheduled to compete over varying race distances. Visit halfmaxchampionship.com for event details, including a complete schedule of events.

Featuring a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run, the Long Course Nationals waves will kick off a full day of action Saturday.

In addition to chasing national titles, these athletes will be competing for spots on Team USA for the 2012 ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships, which will be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, on July 29, 2012. The top 20 athletes per age group (rolling down to 25th place) will earn a Team USA spot. Visit usatriathlon.org for more information on Team USA.

North Carolinians Alicia Parr (Durham, N.C.) and Tom Clifford (Wilmington, N.C.) earned the overall titles at Long Course Nationals a year ago in Myrtle Beach.

The USA Triathlon Club National Championship titles will be decided by the finishes of competitors in the long course event, as well as Saturday's aquabike, intermediate-distance and sprint-distance races. Clubs from across the nation have signed on to compete for championship titles in five divisions based on their membership size. Visit usatriathlon.org more information on Club Nationals.

2010 club national titles went to: Columbia Multisport Club (Division I, 250-plus members), Bay Area Multisport (Division II, 130-149 members), Northwest Arkansas Triathletes (Division III, 80-129 members), Full Throttle Endurance Racing (Division IV, 30-79 members) and Get Fit Families (Division V, 29 members or less).
